What every middle school student WANTED history class to be about
Pirate vs. Ninja? Knight vs. Viking? Spartan vs. Samurai? Astronaut vs. Caveman? You'd be hard-pressed to find someone that hadn't at one point engaged in the pointless discussion of "Who would win?" out of two seemingly equivalent groups. It's a fun and addicting conversation, but it ultimately leads to nothing except frustration. That is a feeling that Torn Banners managed to accomplish with the "Deadliest Warrior" DLC for its "Chivalry: Medieval Warfare" game. While may not quite quite have cavemen and astronauts yet (though points to you if you got the reference), the other factions do make a grand appearance. Read more »

Telltale Games resumed its "Walking Dead" series this month with the onset of the second season, this time shifting away from Lee, the protagonist of the first season, to center around young Clementine. After a brief introduction, the plot advances 16 months to show Clementine as she’s separated from the last living person to care for her, leaving her alone to face the stark reality of the zombified, er, walkerfied world. Game Informer advertisement reveals December 17th launch
An advertisement in the January 2014 issue of Game Informer has revealed the release date for "Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag's" first downloadable content. Titled "Freedom Cry", the 4+ hours of content will be available for download December 17th. It is included as part of the ACIV season pass, so those who have purchased it will get the content as part of the package. While the ad pictures logos for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PS3 and PS4 are pictured, it makes no mention of the WiiU or PC titles, suggesting players on those consoles may have to wait a little longer. Twitch Streaming on Xbox One Delayed
Microsoft anticipates an early 2014 release date
Microsoft has announced today that Xbox One owners will have to wait until the "first part of 2014" to stream gameplay via the Twitch app. Until then, users will be able to view live feeds on the app, but not create their own stream through the Xbox One’s built-in streaming features. MS has announced the delay citing that they are very excited for its implementation, but want to ensure that it meets "expectations of the Twitch community". Read more »
