Android: Netrunner
The future has already arrived. It's just not evenly distributed yet.
We live in an interesting, frightening, and paranoid time. With the whole NSA PRISM thing going on and the government and corporations watching our every move, it really does feel like we're spiraling into a sci-fi dystopian future where shadowy figures above us force their unsavory agendas and the only secrets we have are the ones that we don't think about. Kicking It with John Rhee
The Final Days of the "Liege" Kickstarter
The fantasy RPG market today is dominated by huge titles and super realistic graphics. It's hard to remember a time when 16-bit graphics ruled the genre and, despite all the nostalgia most of us share with the time, it's probably even harder to imagine that look ever coming back. That is why I was blown away when the Kickstarter for "Liege" was brought to my attention. Read more »
PS4 Heat Issues? Not Likely
PS4 Approved for FCC Registration
By now, anyone and everyone who has paid attention to the current generation of gaming consoles has been made familiar with the ominous "red ring of death" that has plagued the Xbox 360 for many years. Are You Ready for a Miracle?
The 2013 Summer Steam Sale, and the Way of Things
It's probably safe to say that people that play a lot of video games are not the most religious of groups that you could interview. Twice a year, however, when the Steam sale finally arrives, you'd be hard pressed not to find a gamer sitting at their computer, tapping refresh and hoping (praying?) that the game they want will appear as a daily deal. Welcome to Player Theory
Our humble corner of the internet.
Hello and welcome fellow reader! We're another game news and review site, yay! We are however a little bit different. We don't take money from companies to influence review scores or news coverage. Boom! Right there, that's huge. Sure, we run ads on the site to keep it up and running, and game companies may send us a copy of a game to review, but our goal from day one (today!) is to be completely honest and unbiased in our coverage. Fire Emblem Awakening
You know you already like it.
As you might expect from any exclusive series to Nintendo, “Fire Emblem” has a long history of doing very little to change things from entry to entry. Mario is still essentially, Mario, but we all remember what it was like when Yoshi was introduced. Link’s been saving the princess for twenty-five years, but you can’t say “Ocarina of Time” didn’t change the game. There are watershed moments in the lives of these series, but that’s not to say that the games in between them aren’t worth playing. Read more »
Deadpool
And here I thought I was the one with a problem.
Look, as Deadpool, Mr. Wade Wilson himself, I’m no stranger to disappointments. My skin makes me look like a burn victim, all the girls want Wolverine for some reason, and I swear to god those chimichangas are avenging Montezuma or whatever. I swear I’ll stop eating them once they stop being delicious, but right now? Not the case. Read more »
