UPDATE: GameSpot was recently told by Walmart that there was an error in the messages with the supposed emails. A Walmart representative said, "Mario Amiibo fans will still see Gold on March 20, 2015. Walmart.com pre-order customers may have seen an incorrect availability date in their account, and we're in the process of correcting that order information to assure fans that there are no delays."

According to Amiibo News, there are many instances that the Gold Mario amiibo has been delayed for those who pre-ordered one. Originally scheduled for March 20, alongside "Mario Party 10," the figures appear to be shifting to an April 8 date with an arrival date of April 13. Read more »
