“Yakuza 0” coming to Europe in 2017
Confusion Arises from Removed Trailer
There has been some recent confusion concerning the release of "Yakuza 0," a PS4 prequel title in the "Yakuza" series. But European fans who may be feeling a bit restless can now relax, as Sega have confirmed that the game will definitely release in Europe next year.
A trailer for the game, that's set seven years before the events of the first "Yakuza," stated that it was scheduled for a 2017 release in both North America and Europe, only for that trailer to be removed and Sega to tweet a statement that they couldn't confirm a European release at that time. It's currently unknown if the release will be simultaneous with the American one.
"Yakuza 0" was originally released in Japan in May 2015 for both the PS4 and PS3. Players will bear witness to the origin of Kazuma Kiryu and how he became a legendary figure within the Yakuza.
Sega previously stated that "newcomers to the "Yakuza" series will be able to experience the action-packed, story-driven adventure from the very beginning of Kazuma’s story, one that focuses on navigating the seedy underworld of Japan. "Yakuza" fans will have the added joy of also getting the chance to play as long-time NPC, Majima Goro – the Mad Dog of Shimano."
