“The Division” Delayed Again
Release Expected Early 2016
It's just been announced that the highly-anticipated, multiplayer Tom Clancy game "The Division" has had it's release date pushed back into early 2016. This announcement came from Ubisoft's 2015 Earning's Presentation (page 19).
The final quarter of Ubisoft's fiscal year runs from January 1st to March 31st, meaning we won't see "The Division" until, potentially, well after the new year.
Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot told IGN: "It is never an easy decision to move a launch date." This is a move that will benefit the company and hopefully provide the players with a more polished game.
There hasn't been a lot of news about "The Division" in recent months, which is building the expectation that it will feature heavily in Ubisoft's E3 presentation this year - we may even get an official release date during the conference.
"The Division" was originally revealed at E3 2013. It suffered it's first delay in May of 2014, pushing the release from the end of 2014 into 2015. This is the second time the title has had it's release date pushed back.
