"Hardcore May Not Get What They Want"

“Star Wars Battlefront” Designed To Be More Accessible for Wider Appeal -

In a Nasdaq Investor Conference in Europe, EA CFO Blake Jorgensen stated how hardcore players may not get the depth they want in "Star Wars Battlefront (2015" (GameSpot reported this news article, as access to the Nasdaq Investor Conference requires permission to view it.)

Star Wars Battlefront is a first-person shooter, but it is [one of] the only teen-rated first-person shooters. We had designed it to be a much more accessible product to a wide age group.

So, an 8-year-old could play with his father on the couch, as well as a teenager or 20-year-old could play the game and enjoy it. It is more accessible. And for the hardcore, it may not have the depth that they wanted in the game. Blake Jorgensen

It should be noted that "Halo 5: Guardians" and "Destiny" are popular first-person shooters as well. The lack of depth, along with content, has been noted by critics and fans alike, which has been a common criticism against the game.
