“Sheltered:” A Cool New Kickstarter Title - Post-Apocalyptic Simulation Funded

Player Theory received the chance to ask Sonny of Unicube a few questions about their latest game, "Shelted." Unicube is a small independent studio that used "Kickstarter" to fund their project.

Player Theory: So the "Kickstarter" campaign ended in success, and "Sheltered" is funded. Tell us more about your game.

Sonny: "Sheltered" is a survival strategy game where the focus is on keeping a family alive in a fallout shelter after a nuclear apocalypse.

PT: We love the concept behind "Sheltered." It sounds like an excellent idea. What was your inspiration for "Sheltered"?

Sonny: Our main inspiration was a "Twilight Zone" episode called "The Shelter."

PT: Oh wow, that's awesome! It's cool to hear that the "Twilight Zone" is still inspiring people today. I love the pixel style. What made you choose this style?

Sonny: The art style is unfortunately the only kind of art I can consistently create. I find it's better to stick with your strengths. We've had hit and miss feedback on the graphics, but the majority has been positive. Glad you like it!

PT: I don't think that's unfortunate at all. Its such a charming look and will serve the game really well. Can you give us an idea of how deep the customization will be for our family?

Sonny: We're exploring customization currently. At the moment the player can choose different races for their families, but we're hoping to make the customization more in-depth in the future.

PT: That's great! Well, I'm really excited to see the final product. Thank you so much for taking time to talk to us here at Player Theory! When can we expect a release?

Sonny: We're hoping to have a beta early next year. It's not set in stone yet though. Thanks, I appreciate it!

A big shout out to Sonny of "Unicube" for taking time out of his busy schedule to talk with us and answer our questions. We're excited to see what all is to come from this game. Stay tuned here at Player Theory for more information on this awesome Kickstarter title.
