“Rock Band 4” Employees Posting Reviews on Amazon

Harmonix Has Reportedly Taken Action to Resolve This Issue

Destructoid has reported that Harmonix and "Rock Band 4" employees have been posting positive reviews for their game on Amazon.

As seen through a rumor thread on reddit, seemingly positive reviews raised suspicion when the reviewers used their real names to post them. Harmonix itself has reached out to Destructoid to confirm that employees posted certain reviews, which they themselves don't condone the actions.

Harmonix has clarified its internal policy about posting reviews of our own products on retail sites, and we've asked that existing reviews be edited to identify Harmonix employees or be removed entirely. While we believe the reviews posted by a few employees were sincere and without ill intentions, as a studio we don’t believe these are appropriate actions. We appreciate the feedback from the community, and take our relationship with our fans seriously.

Measures to either edit these reviews to better reflect employees reviewing the product or outright removed have been taken.
