REVEALED: New costumes for “Super Mario Maker” - Gotta Catch'em All!

In what appears to be another sign of Nintendo's loosening of their control of the "Pokemon" IP, they have let the now 20-years old little monsters into another game - "Super Mario Maker." No, you don't get the ability to have Mario choose a starter Pokemon then embark on an epic journey from Pallet Town, but you do get some pretty neat looking costumes that he can jump into!

Squirtle, Bulbasaur and Charmander are all new costumes for Super Mario Maker, and will be available after you clear the new Event Course that Nintendo will release with the next update. The costumes don't give Mario any new powers, but when you make a costume change, you do get to hear each of the individual's Pokemon digital "roar" which should bring back all kinds of nostalgia from playing the original "Pokemon" games on the Gameboy. Look for the "Super Mario Maker" Pokemon update soon!
