Revealed: “Fallout 4” Exploration Trailer - It is glorious.

Since it's official reveal at E3 of this year, "Fallout 4" has been on ever gamer's mind. Now that we know that the location is in Boston, everyone has been wondering about the story and what Bethesda might be throwing our way in the way of crazy twists and interesting, new mechanics.

Bethesda knows that we all have questions, so they've given us a sneak-peek at the gameplay of "Fallout 4" with a new 'exploration' trailer.

The game looks and feels like "Fallout" game, for sure. The setting looks perfect - ruined enough so you know that the world has ended, but still obviously Boston. The VATS system is still in place and looking fantastic, and while a lot of people are still wary of the new dialogue system, no one can argue that the voice-acting doesn't sound great.

There are two big things that I noticed in the trailer that I really appreciated.

The first is the redesign of the laser rifle. I never liked using laser weapons in the other "Fallout" games because they felt so cheesy and they didn't feel like a "real" gun. There was no kick or weight to the shot. It looks like they've changed that with this game. The laser rifle has a crank you turned during the 'reload' (which I imagine is just how the gun builds charge) and when the gun fires, it sounds amazing and looks like it has actual power to it. Not just a flash of light. I'm definitely looking forward to picking up a laser rifle in "Fallout 4."

Next, and probably most impressively, is the power armor. In past Fallout games, you can slip in and out of power armor like it was a pair of old underwear. It looks like with "Fallout 4" that Bethesda has decided that power armor needs to exactly what the name implies Power Armor. Now, when the character decides to put on a set of power armor, it looks like they need to find an energy source and then they actually enter the armor like it was a mecha suit - complete with a new HUD display. From there, the player turns into a unstoppable, machine-gun-wielding, killing machine (results may vary). In the trailer, we get to watch as the player turns several raiders into a fine, red mist.

And, of course, in the finale of the trailer, we get to see how a character in power armor fares against an infamous deathclaw.

"Fallout 4" is due for release on November 10th of this year, on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC.
