“Rainbow Six Siege” Open Beta Delayed
Beta Delayed... Six Days Before the Game Releases
Ubisoft announced that the open beta for "Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege" will be delayed, where it was suppose to release earlier on November 25, 2015.
We’re currently seeing issues with matchmaking times and disconnection on all platforms. As such we’re postponing the Open Beta until a later time and keeping the game under Closed Beta status. We apologize for the delay and can assure you this is our top priority. We will keep everyone updated regularly as we continue to deploy improvements.
It was supposed to release at 10 am EST, but bugs and issues caused Ubisoft to push back the beta to an unknown time. Ubisoft also released a statement regarding the actual release of the game:
We are confident the game will work as intended since the known issue will be fixed soon. Therefore the launch will not be impacted by this issue.
With past games such as "Assassin's Creed: Unity" and "Batman: Arkham Knight" (for PC) and the uncertainty of an open beta six days away from release, there can easily still be issues at launch for a multiplayer-heavy game. We at Player Theory caution those to wait and see if any issues pop up for the game, if any.
