Bandai Namco has officially revealed the sequel title "Project X Zone 2."
This sequel takes two years after the first "Project X Zone" (with "Project X Zone" being a sequel to "Namco x Capcom"). The series the crossover tactical RPG showcases include "Resident Evil" with Chris Redfield and Jill Valentine returning and Leon S. Kennedy as a solo unit, "Yakuza: Dead Souls" with Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima, "Tales of Versperia" with Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo taking Estelle's place, "Devil May Cry" with Dante and Vergil taking Demitri's place, "Sakura Wars" with Erica Fontanie and Ichiro Ogami returning, "Tekken" with Jin Kazama and Kazuya Mishima taking Ling's place, "Mega Man X" with X and Zero returning, "Virtua Fighter" with Akira Yuki returning solo (so far) and Kage Maru, ".hack//" with Kite returning solo (so far) and Haseo, "Strider" with Strider Hiryu returning from "Namco x Capcom," "Shinobi" with Hotsuma, and SoulCalibur" with Natsu. There will be more series and characters revealed later. Reiji Arisu and Xiaomu, the protagonists for "Namco x Capcom," are shown at the end of the trailer and will most likely play a role in the story as they did with the first "Project X Zone," though if they will be playable or not is to be seen. it should be noted that the supposed characters being replaced may indicate that there could be possible switches for past characters for pair units. That, however, is not known if that's the case at all at this point of writing.
The game is slated to release Fall 2015. However, unlike the first "Project X Zone" where localization wasn't exactly sure, it seems "Project X Zone 2" will be releasing overseas based on the announcement from Bandai Namco Entertainment America's YouTube reveal. It's not known if there will be an English voice acting set for the game or just Japanese voice acting.
