“Project X Zone 2” Delayed to Early 2016
"Ace Attorney," "Streets of Rage," and More Also Revealed
Bandai Namco released a new trailer for "Project X Zone 2" at the Japan Expo. The trailer showed that the game (outside of Japan anyways) has been pushed to early 2016.
In the new trailer, new characters and gameplay features have been introduced. Of the new series represented, they include "Ace Attorney's" Phoenix Wright and Maya Fey (as a solo unit), "Streets of Rage's" Alex Stone, "Darkstalkers'" Felicia, "Summon Night 3's" Aty, the titular Valkryie, and a new character named Chizuru Urashima, though it isn't known if she is playable or not.
For the gameplay elements, Dynamic Cross Active Battle was shown, where button inputs for combos would increase damage dealt to enemies if done right. Cross Break is where a pair and solo unit do a certain attack that deals even more damage. Mirage Cancel allows for the slowing of time for critical hits. If done correctly, Mirage Cancels also recovers XP, but if the timing is off, XP and damage dealt is decreased.
