“Pikmin 4” Confirmed to Be in Development

In an interview with Eurogamer, Shigeru Miyamoto confirmed that "Pikmin 4" exists, is in development, and is close to being completed.

Nothing else is known about "Pikmin 4," however. Miyamoto didn't elaborate which platform "Pikmin 4" would release on either. If things were to line up with development of software and hardware, "Pikmin 4" could be a launch title for the mysterious project Nintendo is working on for their next piece of hardware- the NX. The game could also be harkening back to the first "Pikmin," which launched on the Nintendo GameCube in its earlier days.
