“Persona 5” Gets Japanese Release Date
Special Edition Also Revealed
Atlus has announced "Persona 5" will release in Japan on September 15, 2016.
This announcement comes just after the "Persona 5" livestream- filmed live at Tokyo Tower. A special edition for the game was also revealed for Japan. This includes the "Persona Anniversary" soundtrack, DLC costumes, and an artbook. During the livestream, an animation for "Persona 5" was revealed called "The Day Breakers," which will air just before it releases in Japan to serve as a prequel.
If the special edition will come to the West and/or when "Persona 5" will release over seas isn't known yet, though that information may be announced in the near future.
