PC Version of Grand Theft Auto V Facing More Delays
At Least We Get Some Pretty Pictures
It is now 2015, and if you're a PC gamer, you're still waiting for "Grand Theft Auto V" to come to your computer. Well, there is bad news and there is good news.
The bad news is that the PC release is facing more delays. From the Rockstar blog:
Our apologies for the slight shift in the date but the game requires a few extra weeks of testing and polish to make it as good as can be. Moving a release date is never a decision we take lightly and is a choice we make only when we know it is in the best interests of the game and our fans. Thanks everyone for your understanding and we assure you these few extra weeks will be worth it when the game does arrive in March.
Yes, you read that correctly. The release is set for March, and that isn't just a nebulous statement - in the same announcement on their blog, they give us an actual date: March 24, 2015. There's your good news.
Rockstar also saw fit to really show off what this game could do on the PC - running at 1080p, 60fps and up to 4K resolution. Here are some screenshots:
Enhanced vehicle detail...
Upgraded light and shadow graphics...
Enhanced character models...
Known locations get a little boost...
And, of course, we can't leave out Trevor.
