Nintendo Account Has Officially Launched

Nintendo has launched their new multi-platform account system, known simply as Nintendo Account. This new system allows people to connect to Nintendo on their mobile devices. This will also serve as a new loyalty program for rewards. Those with an existing Nintendo Network ID can log in with that information, hassle free.

The main benefit right now to signing up with Nintendo Account is it provides access to their new Mii-powered social app "Miitomo."

Miitomo can also be pre-registered, though the full registry isn't available yet. Signing up for a Nintendo Account will automatically set you up for the pre-registration.
