New “Super Smash Bros.” Having Some Issues - Lets Hope This Isn't a Bad Omen

The "Smash Bros" demo and the full game have been out in Japan for a little while, and already there are reports of problems. Players are reporting the analog slide pad on the 3DS is coming off and/or breaking. Due to the motions and frantic pace of the game, users find standard gameplay is ruining their analog sticks in one way or another.

On top of these problems, a game-breaking glitch is affecting the full game, as well. Nintendo placed a punishment aspect of frequently quitting online games or suspected cheating that will ban you from all online modes for 10 minutes. In some cases of repeat offenses, a one-day ban triggers. Where fighting game fans may see this as a good thing, the casual gamer will see this as too harsh, but that's not the worst part.

Players using Peach were experiencing an instant kick almost before the match even began. Apparently her down+B pulls out the "Mario Brothers 2" turnip, and the game registers this as cheating. This results in players getting an instant one-day ban.

"Super Smash Bros" 3DS releases on Oct. 3 in North America. We can only hope these problems are solve before it lands stateside.
