New “Kingdom Hearts 2.8 & III” Trailer Released
Not Much New Was Shown, Though
A new "Kingdom Hearts" trailer was released for "Kingdom Hearts 2.8 Final Chapter Prologue" and "Kingdom Hearts III."
Though not much new was shown, it gave a little more context as what to expect for the "Kingdom Hearts 0.2 Birth by Sleep -A fragmentary passage-" segment, which may or may not have Aqua from "Birth by Sleep" return. The rest of the trailer for "2.8" was left relatively vague or already known (as "Dream Drop Distance" is out for the Nintendo 3DS and is just a HD port).
New gameplay for "Kingdom Hearts III" was also shown, though it wasn't the trailer that was shown during the Japanese D23 Expo, which was reportedly "an emotional scene." It seems that "KHIII" will take elements from "Birth by Sleep," as in the Shotlocks, and from "Dream Drop Distance," as in the Free Motion, for Sora to use during battles. The environment will also play a role in how Sora is able to react, such as Sora getting swept away by a stream.
