New CGI “Resident Evil” Movie in the Works
Seems to Be a "Reboot"
Kotaku (via Inside Games JP) reported that a new CGI "Resident Evil" movie is in the works.
The movie is slated to release sometime in 2017. Not much is known about the film itself, but it's being toted as a full "reboot" for the series, with Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield, and Rebecca Chambers being reported in the movie. Interesting to note is that Leon didn't appear in the series until the second game, "Resident Evil 2," whereas Jill Valentine, one of the protagonists of the original "Resident Evil" game, hasn't been listed yet. Suffice to say, there's only three characters listed and the whole cast hasn't been listed yet. Perhaps they intend to switch Jill and Leon's roles for this new CGI movie should she not appear in the game?
