New “Call of Duty” Rumoured To Include “Modern Warfare” Remaster
Leaked Images Appear on Reddit
It's already highly suspected that this year's "Call of Duty" will have the subtitle "Infinite Warfare," but another leak suggests that the game will also come with a remastered edition of "Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare," the first entry in the "Modern Warfare" series and regarded by many as the best "CoD" game ever.
This leaked image was posted on Reddit and is believed to from the US retailer Target. As you can see, it shows what appears to be the cover for the Legacy Edition of the game, which states that it also includes "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered." We can also see what's most likely a release date - November 4th 2016.
To add further credence to this rumour, a streamer on YouTube called Syndicate (real name: Tom Cassell) took to Twitter to say, "Listen to me when I say I can confirm Modern Warfare remastered is a thing!" This follows publisher Activision digging up an old Tweet from 2014, where a fan says they will "literally s**t" their pants if a "Modern Warfare was announced. Activision have now chosen to respond to said tweet with a pair of emojis that suggest that pants will go brown.
Neither Activision or Infinity Ward have officially announced anything but considering "CoD" games are usually announced around April/May, we could expect to hear something very soon.
