“Need for Speed” Reboot Reportedly Has Online DRM
"The Benefits Are Nice" Says Twitter Account for Game
As reported by Cinema Blend, the "Need for Speed" reboot will reportedly have online DRM.
On Twitter, someone asked the official "Need for Speed" Twitter account about "always online," to which the "NFS" Twitter account stated, "NFS will require an online connection, but the benefits are nice. More variety and a more rewarding experience with friends."
In addition, the Twitter account stated, "NFS will require an online connection for single player. This lets us push the boundaries of the experience we can deliver to you."
In the past, games that required an always online connection have had troubled game launches, which include but aren't limited to "Diablo 3" for the PC, "SimCity (2013)," and "The Crew." EA will announce more information in the future about the game.
