“Mortal Kombat X” Has New “Living Towers” Mode
Microtransactions Might Also Be Implimented
With a trailer for "Mortal Kombat X" out, a new mode has been revealed: Living Towers.
Similar to "Mortal Kombat (2011)'s" Tower Mode, players will go several tasks with different stipulations. These challenges will update frequently. In addition, there is also Factions Mode. It functions like Living Towers with challenges, but players will choose one of five factions to be part of. The faction with the most points wins faction-specific fatalities.
IGN also reports that "Mortal Kombat X" might include microtransactions IGN spoke with Brian Goodman, NetherRealm Studios marketing manager.

There isn't any concrete evidence if there will be microtransactions in the game yet. "Mortal Kombat X" is scheduled to release on April 14 for PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, and Xbox One.
