Lucas Joins “Super Smash Bros.” June 14
Before E3 Even!
Nintendo of Europe has confirmed that Lucas will be joining "Super Smash Bros." for Wii U/3DS on June 14. This is further confirmed by the official "Super Smash Bros. website.
Interesting of note, June 14 is right before E3. Presumably it was assumed that Nintendo would announce when Lucas would be available during their Nintendo Direct. "Super Smash Bros." will likely be addressed during the Nintendo Direct for future DLC and/or the next wave of amiibos.
Lucas follows Mewtwo as DLC characters, who was available in April 2015. Lucas and Mewtwo won't be the last DLC characters. Roy from the "Fire Emblem" series and Ryu from the "Street Fighter" series are also rumored to be the next DLC characters through data mining one of the updates for "Super Smash Bros". Additionally, there's the "Smash Bros." Fighter Ballot where fans can vote for they want to be the next DLC character.
