Kanye West Developing Video Game
Tribute to His Late Mother
On The Breakfast Club, a radio show out of New York, rapper Kanye West announced that he has been working on the development of a video game. The game will be loosely based around his song "Only One" - a released on New Years Day, and (according to West), co-written by his late mother for his daughter.
Right now, I'm working on a video game for "Only One," and the idea is that it's my mother going through the gates of heaven and you have to bring her to the highest gates of heaven by holding her to the light. We've been working on it for like six months.

While it is definitely easy to make fun of the infamous rapper, known for his ego and his ridiculous and highly-public antics, it is important to acknowledge that we all deal with grief in different ways, and losing a parent is not an easy thing. His mother, Donde West passed in 2007, but Kanye has acknowledged on multiple occasions how important she was to him.
