Japan Sees Nintendo Account Launch

Change Country Option Seems Promising

According to Twitter user Chessemeister3k, Nintendo Accounts launch in Japan and he gives details of what these new accounts hold through a series of tweets.

Of note, new features include a purchase history that carries with your account, add social links, and change your nickname. One of the Tweets also mentions a "change your country" option, which could mean a potential end to region lock.

As of right now, there isn't any word on when Nintendo Accounts will be coming to the West.
