“Final Fantasy IX” Out Now On Steam
Discounted Until April 20th
While there are tonnes of "Final Fantasy" fans that will tell you that "Final Fantasy VII" is the best entry in the series, a great many would argue that that honour goes to the third and final title to be released for the PS One - "Final Fantasy IX." Ever since "FFVII" and "FFVIII"'s re-releases on Steam, people have been clamoring/hoping that "IX" would get the same treatment. And as of today, it has.
This edition of the game is based on the optimised version that was released on mobile devices, but it includes everything you'd hope a Steam re-release would have - Steam trading cards, high definition movies and character models, cloud saving across multiple devices, auto save and seven new booster features, including a high speed mode and no encounter mode.
Originally released in 2000, "Final Fantasy IX" sees the cocky, monkey-tailed Zidane attempt to kidnap a princess, only to find himself and some new found allies on a mission to save the world from a corrupt royalty. The game is currently available at a discounted price of £12.79, but this will only last until April 20th. It will be bumped back up to its regular price of £15.99.
