“Fable Legends” Will Be Free-to-Play

Playable Hero Characters Will Be in Rotation

Announced on the "Fable Legends" website, "Fable Legends" will be a free-to-play title.

Playable hero characters will be available in a selected rotation and progress for those characters achieved will be saved until said character is available again or outright bought. Villain playable characters are set to certain locations and can be unlocked or bought. The Windows 10 version doesn't require a Xbox Gold membership, but playing it on the Xbox One does require it.

"Fable Legends" is scheduled for a 2015 release on Windows 10 PCs and Xbox One. A retail box version is still being discussed.
