EA Rep Says Company Isn’t Trying to Be “Corporate Beast” - Then There's

During the B.C. Tech Summit (via Vancouver 24 Hours) EA CEO Andrew Wilson discussed that EA is not some "corporate beast" that many are quick to cast the company as.

If you understand the videogame business, EA — the branding is this corporate beast that just wants to take money from them while people play our games. That’s not actually what we’re trying to do.

For the longest time in civilization, we would spend money as human beings, then we would spend time where we spent our money. That’s reversed now. You come in, and play a bunch of games, and ultimately you invest after that. Andrew Wilson

These accusations of being a "corporate beast" may come from certain actions, such as "Dungeon Keeper Mobile," EA winning the Worst Company in America Award twice in a row, the season pass/DLC content often priced at a full retail game cost, and other reasons.
