EA Confirms “Star Wars Battlefront” Sequel for 2017

Will Feature Content From "Newer Movies"

According to GameSpot, EA has confirmed that at least one "Star Wars Battlefront" sequel is in the works, with the next one set for a release in 2017.

EA CFO Blake Jorgensen said in an earnings call that the next "Star Wars Battlefront" sequel will feature content from the newer movies - presumably the sequel trilogy series and the upcoming "Star Wars: Rogue One" movie. Nothing else is known about this upcoming "Battlefront" sequel, though it could make an appearance at EA's presentation during E3 2016's timeframe (note EA has their own presentation time not at the E3 location).
