“Black Gold Online” Open Beta, Updating the Steampunks
"Black Gold Online" Beta in-Game Update on the Way
“Black Gold Online” went into live beta testing towards the end of June and for just over a month players have been delving into and exploring the games unique world where science meets fantasy in one giant Steampunk adventure.
A lot of the core mechanics are already present in the beta. Its 12 playable classes, the full combat system, a large chunk of the open world, the PvP and PvE zones and the mounted combat system are all there. Everything from horses, war elephants and prehistoric beasts will charge across the plains of “Black Gold Online” with players riding to either glory or defeat.
The coming for update “Black Gold Online“ will add to and expand on a lot of these areas.
Snail Games, the team behind the title released a sneak peek at what players can expect to see change in the update. Players will get a host of new features, new maps, an increased level cap and the game will receive some general optimization changes.
Changes to come include:
• Level cap raised to 45, with new quests and activities to match
• New level of skill upgrades
• New arsenal of gear with new Tier 3 equipment types
• Cross-server PvP for Arenas and Battlefields
• New world maps, instances, dungeons, and battlefields
• Balancing and optimization improvements
The update will come to you free and automatically via the games client so there is no worry about having to hunt for or download it on your own.
Only time will tell if “Black Gold Online” will survive MMORPG gauntlet and if players will truly take to the world and the gameplay. Don’t forget that it is still in beta and that they are working on improving the title, having only played the title briefly it’s difficult to give a definitive verdict on whether it's truly the next big thing. The changes on the way though will hopefully add to its value and quality.
