Amiibo Defect Gives Samus Two Arm Cannons - Samus Has Been Upgraded

Manufacturing defects can be annoying. They can also lead to some unintentionally impressive additions. Posted to Reddit user Adamantium126 revealed that he/she received a Samus Aran amiibo figure that had two arm cannons instead of one arm cannon and one regular arm.

The regular Samus figure should have a regular left arm. Whether this was generally a defect not caught when packaged or an intentional design isn't known, but it makes for one rare collectible item.

The first waves of amiibos are available now, launching alongside "Super Smash Bros." on the Wii U in North America. Europe can expect the game and amiibos Nov. 28 with Japan getting theirs on Dec. 6. The second wave of amiibos are coming on Dec. 19, and the third wave coming on Feb. 1. The third wave will have three exclusive figures to three retailers: Shulk at GameStop, Meta Knight at Best Buy, and Lucario at Toys "R" Us.
