“A Fistful of Gun” Draws Near
Seek Vengeance Alongside Nine Other Outlaws
Farmergnome and publisher Devolver Digital have announced that nine-player co-op western "A Fistful of Gun" is set to launch on Steam, GOG, and Humble on Sept. 24.
Originally a freeware project that was wandering around the wide prairies of the internet, "A Fistful of Gun" has returned as a tale of vengeance set against a brilliantly colorful American frontier full of dangerous cutthroats. You’ll collect gold from fallen foes to purchase upgrades, imbibe a bit of liquid courage, and unleash a tornado of lead across the dusty plains against those who try to stand against you. It’s what the cowboys would want
I’m not legally allowed to promote a drinking game that involves a shot of tequila each time another player gets the drunk power-up during "A Fistful of Gun" co-op games, but that would be pretty solid. Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker
Misfits and Outlaws: Choose between 11 different gunslingers each with their own unique control scheme and methods of attack to master. Some characters require the finesse of a gamepad while others are strictly bound to mouse controls to mount their offensive.
Multiplayer and Co-Op Modes: Gather a posse of up to nine other players for chaotic local and online cooperative modes or square off with other gunslingers at the corral in the white-knuckle versus mode.
Story and Arcade Modes: Take up arms against those that stand opposed and blast your way through the colorful landscapes of the west against dozens of unique enemies. Grab a horse, forge a river, ride a train – there’s never a dull moment in the lawless lands of the Wild West!
It’s a game that continues the strong tradition of Devolver Digital, a game that has you gunning with seat of your pants action but molded in that indie darling style. Is a visual explosion of rich colors and blazing bullets and one that looks set to entertain many a posse.
